Besnard to Nemeiben
About this Canoe Route
Besnard to Nemeiben
The big waters of Besnard Lake and Nemeiben Lake are intermingled with medium-sized lakes like Morning, Triveet, and Clam Lake, and smaller lakes like Gull, Howard, and Head Lake. This is a well-rounded northern Saskatchewan wilderness canoeing excursion!
After your put-in at Besnard Lake on Highway 910, explore the lee of small islands and larger ones like Robertson, Alexander, Wallace, & Vicars. Choose campsites as you wander Gull Lake, Morning Lake, Triveet Lake, and Clam Lake.
Narrow channels connect Clam Lake to Howard Lake, Howard Lake to Head Lake, and Head Lake to Nemeiben Lake. Explore the islands of Nemeiben before your take-out at Bell Bay. Montreal River Outpost has shuttle service for your convenience.
